Eligibility Conditions:

• Std X examination from any recognized board (S.S.C., CBSC, ICSE) with English as a compulsory subject for admission to F.Y.J.C.
  
• F.Y.J.C. in the same faculty in which admission is sought for S.Y.J.C.

Examination rules:

1. All the students should secure minimum 35 marks out of 100 in each subject including Environment Education.

2. Marks for theory, practical and oral tests in the subjects where there are two parts, will be taken together and total marks will be considered for result computation. .
3. P.T. test is compulsory for all F.Y.J.C. classes.
4. No retest shall be taken for any scheduled test or examination. In case of absence, a prior written permission of the Principal is necessary.
5. Students are to submit project report in any one subject at class XI and XII as assigned by the project teacher, for which grades will be awarded

1. B.A. / B. Com/ B. Sc. (Home Science) all the students are expected to complete 100 hours of computer learning as per the state government directive.
2. B.A. / B.Com course comprises of six semesters. There will be six papers of 50 marks each.
3. For the first year and second year, college examinations will be conducted for all the faculties.
4. The student is promoted to the second year, provided she clears at least 10 out of 12 papers.

Home Science

1. Home science course comprises six semesters, which are to be completed in 3 years. By the end of these three years, the student must complete courses worth 120 credits.
2. 50% weightage will be given to internal assessment and 50 % weightage to the semester examination.
3. A student is promoted to the next semester, provided that the total number of credits in which she has failed does not exceed 8 in all.
4. The student’s academic assessment is based on her performance in 2 unit tests of 25 marks each and the final examination of 50 marks held at the end of every semester.

Globalization of Education and economy requires new programmes to make the current Indian Higher Education System more relevant and career oriented, with focus on quality and excellence. It is envisaged that professionally qualified graduates with a sound knowledge of their core disciplines and expertise in a concerned skill will have more openings in service, industry and self employment sector.

To meet this challenge, our institute has incorporated skill oriented and value added, add-on courses to be adopted by students as a parallel sub-discipline while pursuing their degree level education.

The courses offered are interdisciplinary in nature. There will be no watertight compartments and the students will have the freedom to diversify into various fields not necessarily related with their core discipline. For instance, a commerce student can opt for a COP course in script writing and fashion designing along with a B. Com degree.

This is how it works:

• Each COP course will be of 30 credits. Each credit will have 15 hours of workload out of which 10 credits will be assigned to field work / project work / training.
• A joint certificate in the name of the University and College will be awarded on the basis of examination result and credits earned.

TRAVEL AND TOURISM

SCRIPT WRITING
The course trains students to write scripts for radio, film, video, multi media, www and gaming. The student will learn the processes of creating finished scripts that conforms to industry needs.
